OUR HISTORY
According to the book, "New York Then and Now," the Cornish Arms Hotel was built in 1926.
Note the room rates - single rooms for $1.50 per day, later raised to $2.25. That's a 50% increase!
The wrap party for The Godfather was held here. The shower scene from the movie was filmed at the McBurney YMCA up the street which was the inspiration for the Village People's "YMCA."
